Drug investigators in southern Wisconsin have broken up a large methamphetamine ring after eight people, including two from Madison, were indicted by a federal grand jury, the Appleton Post-Crescent reported. Fifteen people have been charged in connection with what may be the largest drug raid ever in the Fox Valley, Wisconsin, according to a press release from the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Wis. Drug investigators and federal authorities announced that seven defendants have been charged with crimes related to the distribution of large quantities of cocaine in and around the Fox Valley, Wisconsin. A large amount of methamphetamine and other drugs were found in a hotel room at the Westin Hotel & Suites in Appleby, Wis., on April 5, 2017. Authorities say more than 1,000 pounds of methamphetamines, cocaine, heroin and marijuana may have been found during a possible drug raid at a hotel in Appleton.
On Thursday, prosecutors charged St. John Deshazer, a Manitowoc man who witnessed the fatal shooting of a woman in an apartment complex in Madison two days ago, according to court documents posted online. He was charged with first-degree murder and attempted premeditated murder in connection with the death of the woman, A.J. DesHazer. A Manitoba man who witnessed Des Hazer's murder at the Madison homes of his wife and two children was charged Thursday with first-degree premeditated murder and second-degree premeditated murder and three counts of first-degree attempted premeditated murder, according to court documents.
The indictment against Rittenhouse was officially filed in Wisconsin on Thursday and includes three counts of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted manslaughter, according to court documents.
