Menominee Park, Zoo & Little Oshkosh Playground - (920) 236-5082

Menominee Park, Zoo & Little Oshkosh is a nice park located right on the lake. There is a nice little kid's playground as well. The only problem is that the park does not seem to be maintained or cleaned very well. There are lots of spider webs and goose droppings everywhere. If the grounds were picked up better it would receive a five star rating instead of four in my book. It could be very beautiful!

Menominee park is one of our favorites. It is a nice big park--perfect for picnics, people watching, observing nature, etc. The little Oshkosh playground is great but I usually skip it. The back is open (as in a child could escape) and there are too many little nooks and crannies--when you have a small child it's rather spooky to think who may be hiding in those nooks and crannies while your children are playing. The goose poo problem is annoying. Otherwise--the shelters are great--Sawdust days is great--the fireworks are great--the light show is fun (little pricey though!)

We were geared up for days to go to the Little Oshkosh playground and see the man-made beach. When we arrived there were so many spider webs and HUGE spiders around the playground that the kids wouldn't even go on the climbing structures. The lake water had formed a thick film of green algae and the beach was littered. Someone should really maintain the area because it has a good amount of potential - the hand carved playground was gorgous and obviously took a long time to create. What a shame to see it so uncared for.
